August is here! 8-1

Happy August!!! Ahem....HAPPY Birthday month to ME....Happy BIRTHDAY month to M e E ee E e, HAPPY BIRTHDAY month to MEeeeee.....and many more! Happy Birthday in advance to all my fellow August birthday Leo's and Virgo's, though I usually quit celebrating about the time Virgo's birthdays swing in...ha ha ha!

Lots of painting today...priming, prep,.....prep and more prep. Hate the time the prep takes when you just want to get the results. This place had so many tack holes in the walls and places where they patched holes with a putty knife, but didn't sand etc., so we are fixing those too. The walls looked like they had a disease until we got the primer on them.

The laundry room had two of its walls painted today in the color we chose so we could get the washer and dryer hooked up. Why is it that paint can not go up on the wall and look like you envisioned it looking when you narrowed the choice down to one from thousands? Just once I would like to paint a wall and go WOW, I LOVE it!!! I start doubting the decision, is it too light, too dark, too pink, too yellow...and on and on and on. To those that say it is only paint...change it...I say then YOU DO IT....Larry and I are not fond of painting and after repainting an entire room in Fallon a couple of years ago....doors and all, it isn't something we want to repeat. Slowly though we are starting to really see progress and are hoping that we can get the bulk done before Larry gets called out on a fire. Things are heating up and he would like to get busy doing that too, but would like to get as much done inside before he has to leave. Then it will just be a matter of waiting for the pros to reface the cabinets and install the flooring.

The weather has been lovely and I love just sitting on the trailer steps and watching the light in the oak leaves and listening to the birds. It will be so nice to really start enjoying our location and not just see all the work or the things we want to change.

Have a wonderful August everyone!
