I don't know Uncle Gene....I'm having trouble with these days of doing nothing....finding something interesting to write about.
Today's highlight was our shopping trip to the Fry's market. We usually avoid going during busy daytime hours because it is usually full of the retired snowbirds. This market is small and the aisle's are too narrow for the number of people that try to forge through the aisle's. The announcements heard over the public address system are sometimes entertaining...today's was if you were just in aisle 8 you may have the wrong basket! Hopefully that is all that happened, but we see so many of these older ladies leaving their purses in the basket and off they go after leaving the basket right in the middle of the aisle.
But we forged on! We skipped coffee in Southern Canada to get our shopping done before it got really, really crazy at the market. They were having dollar days so we saved a bundle which is nice. We spent $35 and saved $22 with our VIP card which made it all worth while and then prayed our angels were with us on the journey home....more people were out and about and truthfully the locals are the worst drivers of all. If you see an Arizona plate they are usually the ones running the red lights and cutting people off...horrible drivers.
So that was about it for us...the low today was 55 and the high was 79 and it was windy for most of the day which made the shade feel cool, but as the sun is getting really intense it made being out in the sun pleasant.
Oh, we saw unleaded gas go below $2.00 here for the first time...it is a shame food prices and other things aren't going back down too.
