Campfire, Hotdogs, and Singing 2-22

Today was overcast most of the day, but warm. The low was 58 and the high was 76. The days start out cool and it is after eleven before it starts to feel warm, and if the wind stays down it becomes a perfect day. This morning there was no wind on our walk. It was really quiet this morning, I did two laps and Larry did his four. These people torture us with the smells of bacon cooking, sometimes you can smell fresh baked bread and pancakes…..evil when you are trying to finish your laps….sometimes I feel like being a cartoon character and float into their homes on the scent waves for breakfast! I think it would be easier if someone would throw us a donut or a piece of bacon once in awhile!!!

We had a quiet day, Larry cleaned out the inside of the truck and I read, knit and talked on the phone. We had a lovely dinner, took a walk and then I think I took a teeny nap.

Later Neil came by to invite us over for hot dogs and campfire, so off we went. We had a great time as always and got to hear some of the groups talent. Chuck plays guitar and sings, and Ed sings. Dave and Nancy’s three girls sing like angels…it was a treat to hear all of them, Marla, Carrie and Linda were amazing. There were a few others in the group that had pretty good voices too.
