Happy 4th of July!

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon
This quote was on my facebook page and this made me think of our brave troops...all of them, from before our Independence to today!

It was hot again today...anything over 90 is hot to me and it got into the mid-range somewhere.  After we get most of the days work done while its cooler we find shade in the garden and just watch the birds...I have a few saucers of water set around and the finches and the bees love to get drinks.

Here are a bunch of pictures from yesterday and today...it was hard to choose.

Stunning!  from my garden
This little baby has doubled in size since we first met

Zucchini blossoms, huge flowers!

The cucumber has a thing for the hose :)

Nature is amazing, a cucmber tendril

Dahlia opening and next pic is open

an entire bouquet on one stem...amazing

the last couple days this crazy deer has spent the hot part
of the day here...how she gets under there with those
long legs I don't know

and she could lay in the shade under the hitch where its taller

dahlia budding

this was today's lucky shot!
