Busy few days 7-10

Yesterday we took a drive over to the Sac area and instead of taking 20 all the way over to I-5 like we have done a million times we took Rumsey Canyon Rd. We hadn't been on that road in a couple of decades probably. It is windy, but pretty and not nearly as much traffic of course.

Then you hit the farm land and rising up out of the farmland is Cache Creek Casino....that place is huge and we got to see Uncle Hank's second home finally...tee hee. We didn't stop but we passed a bunch of casino bound tour buses on our way south.

Coming home last night after dark along the shores of Clearlake the bugs were like snow in the headlights. Larry fueled the truck and cleaned the bugs off the windshield in Clearlake Oaks and after 19 miles we had to stop in Upper Lake to clean the windshield again....couldn't hardly see. The front bumper/grill of the truck is furry with bug carcasses today...smells like dead fish.

Today I finished my latest creation and after the rocky start I am really happy with the way it turned out. It is a nice heavy blanket and will match my friends decor perfectly.
Larry's Mom came home from the hospital today and she is doing great and feels so much better for having the surgery.
Tomorrow we get to go to my Cousin Darcy's wedding...woohoo, near death with an unhappy prognosis a few short years ago and look at her now...my Miracle Cousin, proved everyone wrong, you go girl! Hopefully I remember to take pictures!
