The calendar says June first but the weather says January. Today I had to put on my heavier than a flannel shirt jacket because it was COLD. I ran out to get this picture to prove that it does exist...blue sky! I also got a picture of this poor rose trying to open but its petals stay closed because it is SHIVERING.
This afternoon and evening there were tornado warnings in the valley and lucky for us the big thunder cell came and settled right over us. So here we are on June first and at 4:45 P.M. we had the lights on because it was so dark and then Larry says what is that noise? Oh...thats just the furnace kicking on... It thundered and lightninged all evening and then it started dumping rain and has been doing that for about an hour and a half, another inch of rain at least. We are at least twenty degrees below normal temps and there is still just nothing but rain and coolness in the upcomng days forecasts.
I know, I am very thankful that we aren't dealing with floods as those people all along the Missouri river nor the devastation of tornados...but it still doesn't stop the grumpies about our own weather.
