Still Breezy

Still cool and breezy.  Yesterday I spent a couple hours rescuing leaning rose branches, cutting the ones that needed cutting making big bouquets which I gave to a neighbor, shaking water out of roses and staking up a few.  Larry cut down a bunch of baby pine trees under our power line.  We learned from the tree guy that most of us wait too long and then we have more expense and more mess when we have to do something about them.

The day before when we returned home from shopping I came around the house in time to see this Mama turkey and at least 15 babies.  She hunkered down for a minute or so, but the babies didn't get with the program so she moved on.  With our weeds being cut she didn't have much cover for the babes.

In spite of the coolness we basked in the sun a bit this afternoon.

Gracie and Larry doing one of their favorite things and cute
doing it, the red rose isn't bad either.
